If you’ve spent more than five minutes on coffee TikTok lately, you’ve probably heard someone screaming about 7 Brew.

The drive-thru lines are long. The menu is chaotic. The energy drinks have an insane amount of caffeine.

Naturally, I had to investigate.

So here’s my honest review of the top 6 most popular 7 Brew drinks—including what’s actually worth the hype, what tastes suspiciously like melted candy, and what I would absolutely order again when I’m trying to emotionally recover from spending $8 on coffee elsewhere.

Because not every viral coffee drink deserves your money. Some deserve thoughts and prayers.

1. Blondie — The Best Drink at 7 Brew (And It’s Not Even Close)

⭐ Rating: 9.5/10

If you’re new to 7 Brew, start here.

The Blondie somehow manages to taste rich and indulgent without crossing into “melted caramel milkshake pretending to be coffee” territory. The vanilla and caramel work together really well, and the espresso still comes through enough to remind you this is, in fact, coffee and not dessert in a cup.

It has that smooth, buttery coffee-shop flavor that makes you immediately start calculating how often you can justify going back.

My take:

This is the drink that fully explains the 7 Brew obsession to me.

2. Cinnamon Roll — Cozy, Sweet, and Slightly Extra

⭐ Rating: 8/10

This drink tastes exactly like walking past a cinnamon roll stand at the mall when you weren’t planning to buy one… and then somehow leaving with two.

The cinnamon flavor is warm and cozy, and the sweetness definitely leans dessert-like, but in a way that still feels fun instead of overpowering at first. About halfway through, though, it starts tipping into “this should maybe come with a fork” territory.

Still, if you love sweet seasonal coffee drinks, this one absolutely delivers the cozy factor.

My take:

I would order this again immediately in October with absolutely no hesitation.

3. White Chocolate Mocha — A Little Too Committed to Sweetness

⭐ Rating: 6.5/10

I wanted to love this one because white chocolate mochas usually feel like a safe coffee order.

But this version is very sweet. Like, “accidentally used dessert topping as creamer” sweet.

The espresso gets a little lost under all the white chocolate flavor, so if you like stronger coffee-forward drinks, this one might not be your favorite. That said, if your ideal iced coffee basically doubles as an afternoon treat, you’ll probably be obsessed.

My take:

This felt more like a dessert than a coffee… which honestly might be exactly what some people want.

4. Smooth 7 — Quietly One of the Best Drinks on the Menu

⭐ Rating: 8.7/10

This one surprised me.

The Smooth 7 has a softer, creamier flavor that feels a little more balanced than some of the louder drinks on the menu. The Irish cream and white chocolate give it sweetness without making it taste overly sugary, and the whole thing just drinks really smoothly (which, in hindsight, was a bit of a clue from the name).

It feels like the kind of order you discover once and then keep getting every single time.

My take:

Underrated. This deserves more attention.

5. German Chocolate — A Little Unexpected, But In a Good Way

⭐ Rating: 7/10

The German Chocolate sounded like it was going to be an instant favorite for me. Chocolate, caramel, coconut… that combination has no business sounding this good in coffee form.

And honestly, the first few sips are really good.

The chocolate flavor is rich without being overpowering, and the caramel helps smooth everything out. The coconut is lighter than I expected, which I actually appreciated because it keeps the drink from tasting overly tropical or sunscreen-adjacent (a risk coconut flavors sometimes take in iced coffee).

That said, the flavor balance felt slightly inconsistent from sip to sip. Sometimes the chocolate came through beautifully, and other times the coconut completely took over.

Still, if you like sweeter iced coffees with a dessert-inspired flavor profile, this one is fun to try at least once.

My take:

This feels like the coffee equivalent of ordering the seasonal dessert menu item because it sounds too interesting not to.

6. Iced Brunette — The Best Choice for Actual Coffee Lovers

⭐ Rating: 9/10

The Iced Brunette feels a little more grown-up than some of the other drinks on the menu—in the best way possible.

The hazelnut and caramel flavors add sweetness without completely overpowering the espresso, so the coffee still tastes rich and bold underneath everything else. It’s smooth, balanced, and much easier to drink regularly if you don’t want your iced coffee tasting like liquid frosting.

This was one of the few drinks where I immediately thought, “I could genuinely order this every week.”

It has enough flavor to feel fun, but still enough coffee flavor to actually satisfy people who like… coffee.

My take:

If your usual coffee order is “not too sweet,” start with this one.

Final Ranking: Best 7 Brew Drinks Overall

My Personal Ranking:

  1. Blondie
  2. Iced Brunette
  3. Smooth 7
  4. Cinnamon Roll
  5. German Chocolate
  6. White Chocolate Mocha

Yes, I said what I said.

Is 7 Brew Better Than Starbucks?

Honestly?

For flavored iced coffee drinks… sometimes yes.

The drinks feel:

  • more customizable
  • stronger in flavor
  • slightly less corporate sadness

BUT…

Some menu items desperately need less syrup and more self-awareness.

If you like:

  • sweet drinks
  • fun flavors
  • chaotic drive-thru energy
    you’ll probably love 7 Brew.

If you prefer:

  • minimalist coffee
  • nuanced espresso
  • drinks that don’t taste like a candle
    your mileage may vary.

Bottom Line

7 Brew is fun. Slightly unhinged. Occasionally delicious.

And honestly? That’s part of the appeal.

Some drinks absolutely deserve the hype.

Others taste like they were created during a sugar rush and approved without supervision.

But if you’re looking for new iced coffee drinks to try beyond Starbucks, there are definitely a few 7 Brew drinks worth adding to your rotation.

Cheers and happy sipping! ☕
